Overview
By default, Cint provides quota presets that are based on census data for the profiling dimensions of age, gender, and region, for most countries that are supported in Access.
Company-level Census Quota Presets allows users to define and use census data which is different from what Cint provides. It can be used to override an existing Cint preset, for example, to override the existing age census data for the United Kingdom. When users click “Age → Census”, it will be the company’s own data that will be loaded. The feature can also be used to define census data for profiling dimensions that didn't have any previously, for example, census data for certain profiling questions.
Creating Census Presets
Note: only company users with the Project Lead role can create these presets, however, every user in the company can use them after they are created.
Quota presets for census can be created the same way as regular quota presets (please see this documentation), the difference is that before saving the preset, a user must select “Census” in the “Type” drop-down which appears in the bottom left of the dialogue screen.
Following this, a user can immediately see that the “Census” option is now active for the age quota. It will have a distinctive colour, compared to the normal purple colour which is shown when the default Cint census data is being used:
If needed, a user can delete this preset using the “Delete Preset” button as seen in the bottom left of the above screenshot. Access will then revert back to using the default Cint census data. A new Company-level Census Preset can always be created again using the steps outlined above.
Using Census Presets
Once a Company-level Census Preset has been defined, it will always be the default when a user clicks on the usual “Census” button (and the button will appear green). It is not possible to use the default Cint census data if the company has saved its own Census data.
