Custom quotas

Access provides the possibility to gather a specific number of completes split on age, gender, regions and profiling groups, speeding up and improving the project setup. As always start by setting up the target group, select country, age, gender, IR, LOI, numbers of days in field, regions, and profiling.

To setup quotas, go to the 'Quotas' pane, select either 'custom' or 'census representative'.  If you want custom quotas, just fill in the number of wanted completes you want for each quota. If you want census quotas then click on 'Census' and the system will automatically set them for you. 

Should the system estimate fewer feasible completes, the numbers of initial feasible completes will be red.

Setting up custom interlocked quotas on age and gender, non-interlocked with counties in UK

In the following example the target group aims to gather males and females with age between 18 and 80 in UK county Devon, Essex and Hampshire, that have some type of access to a car. 

The following quotas are wanted:

M, 18-37 years old : 100 wanted complete

M, 38-52 years old: 200 wanted completes

M, 53-80 years old: 200 wanted completes

F, 18-37 years old: 100 wanted completes

F, 38-52 years old: 200 wanted completes

F, 53-80 years old: 200 wanted completes

Devon: 500 wanted completes

Essex: 250 wanted completes

Hampshire: 250 wanted completes

This is how you set it up:

Regardless of what quotas you want to set up, start by setting up the target group's wanted basic settings, regions and profiling.

Then go to the ‘Quotas’ pane and set up the 'custom' age groups first (no.1 in the screenshot below)

18-37 years old
38-52 years old
53-80 years old

In this example, the selected profiling will be used to filter the panelists that qualify for the study(have some access to a car), so no need to setup quotas on profiling (no.2 in the screenshot below).

You could work with quotas in %, instead of number of completes (no.3 in the screenshot below)

Then, to interlock the quotas, drag ‘Gender’ container on top of ‘Age’. 

This concludes the set up of interlocked quotas on gender and age.

Now to setup quotas on Regions, select to have 'custom' regional quotas. 
Change the number of completes to what you want and you're done.

Please note:

It is not currently possible to setup soft(overall quota where sub-quotas wanted completes are flexible) or daily quotas (workaround : create one target group per day and change the start date for each).

All current quotas are on completes, it is not currently possible to set quotas on started interviews.

It is not possible to set quotas on specific postal codes within the same target group. A workaround is to create a separate target group per array of postal codes that fall into the same quota bucket.
