Grouping of quotas (Access Pro)

As an Access Pro user, you will be able to group quotas within the Region and Profiling quota section.

The benefits for grouping two individual quota variables together, is that it creates more flexibility by not restricting where the completes specifically come from. The distribution of completes for the individual quota variables in the group is not limited to a certain value, instead, the group has a total quota value limitation. 

Let's consider the Social Economic Level profiling question as an example. It offers users to choose from the following quota variables A, B, C1, C2, D, & E

A user might want to create two profiling quota variable groups from the Social Economic Level profiling question.

Group 1: A, B, & C1

Group 2: C2, D, & E

You then set quota values for both groups and the value must total to 100%. For example, you may want 60% of all completes to come from Group 1 and 40% from Group 2.

How to create a group in a quota section?

Step 1: Select quota distribution and click on the grouping icon

Step 2: Select the quota variables that you want to group and click "Group selected (X)" For each group you want to create, repeat the process.

Step 3: Profiling quota shows the groups you have created. You can expand the groups to see which quotas you have grouped together

FAQ

Can i create groups using quotas from two different quota sections,, e.g Region and Profiling quota?

Creating groups from different quota sections is not possible. You will not be able to mix regions and / or profiling quota variables with each other to create groups. 

Will I be able to interlock quotas that have groups in them?

Yes, you are able to use the interlocking functionality if you have groups within the quota section. However, note that you won't be able to first interlock and the create groups.
