Spread delivery strategy in Access Pro will spread out the fulfillment schedule and attempt to collect all completes by end date.
The benefit of spreading out the fulfillment schedule is that you will get a more diverse group of respondents, which may reduce sampling bias.
To enable automatic collection of completes with the spread strategy:
- Go to project management and monitoring
- Click on the target group menu and choose 'Collect completes'
- Choose the automatic tab, select 'Spread' and click 'Collect completes'
- To disable the automatic project delivery mode, go back to 'Collect completes' and click 'Stop'
If needed, the optimizer can also be enabled after spread delivery has been activated. This can be done through the project management and monitoring tool at the target group level.
When the automatic mode has been enabled, you can view how many invites have been sent and when. To do this, click on the target group menu and choose 'Collect completes'.
FAQ
Can I see the spread schedule?
You can see the spread schedule by clicking the 'see schedule' in the automatic tab.
Go to target group - collect completes - automatic tab - choose 'spread' - click 'see schedule'.
What happens if I enable the optimizer?
The optimizer will follow the spread delivery strategy and honor the fulfillment schedule cut-off dates.
How often does it sample?
Based on the number of collected completes, the remaining field period, conversion rate and other metrics, Access Pro determines when to invite further respondents. The closer a project comes to the end of its field period, the more often Access Pro checks if more invitations need to be sent out. The time between checks can range from 2 hours to 48 hours. The time checks depend on how long the field period is. The shorter the field period, the shorter the time will be between the checks.
What happens when all completes are collected?
Access Pro will close the target group and turn off the automatic collection.
What happens if all completes have not been collected?
If a target group failed to collect all wanted completes by the end of the field period, Access Pro will stop sampling. If you want auto-delivery to continue sampling, you will need to extend your field period by editing the end date. To do this go to Target group overview - definition - field period.
Can I use the automatic project delivery mode if my end date (field day) has passed?
You cannot automatically invite respondents if the end date has passed. The minimum requirement for spread delivery is to have at least 72 hours left in the future.
