This feature release contains several changes. In addition to the updated functionality detailed below, there has been a complete overhaul of the whole Supply set-up workflow and design.
Notable UI changes
- The pane is now called "Audience" instead of "Supply"
- The setup is performed in a step-by-step modal dialog instead of "in-pane" — changes can be made in the dialog and then be wholly discarded or applied when completed.
Panelist pool and using specific panels
Basic usage
- In the "Audience" pane, press "Single source"
- Select the source type from where your panelists derive
- Press the "Upload specific panelists" button and choose which type of data you are uploading
- Select or deselect panels as fitting
- Click "Save" in the dialog and your selection is applied
Details and limitations
- It is only possible to upload comma-separated value (.csv) files containing panelist IDs (just as before: with or without associated unique links). The previous paste functionality has been removed due to performance and usability concerns.
- After uploading a file containing IDs, all panels with matching panelists are automatically selected for you. You can now deselect any panels that you wish not to be included in the source and subsequently, the panelists from these panels will not be targeted.
- After uploading the file, you can also select additional panels to include in the source. This to enable the possibility to add more panelists once the project has started (through Managed Services).
Editing the invitation email when targeting a single own panel
The system supports editing the invitation email for target groups that target a single panel. You have to specify upfront if you are planning to change the email, the choice of which will guide you to select a single panel as source in the later stage.
Usage
- In the "Audience" pane, select "Single source" and "Own panels".
- Specify whether you are planning to edit the invitation email later or not.
- Depending on the selection in the previous step you can select one or multiple panels.
- After ordering the project, and you are unable to edit the invitation email, it either means you did not select a panel you own (e.g. a panel from the Open Marketplace/Insights Exchange) or that you selected multiple panels to target. The error message should clearly state which of the two errors has occurred.
Own panel overrides
When targeting your own panels it is possible (for supported panels) to set LOI, IR, Incentive and/or if fixed LOI should be used to override the default settings.
The functionality for these features has not changed. With the redesign the settings have been moved to a better suited context. Since these features are only available when targeting "Own panels", they are now found in the same view as where you select your own panels.
